    Wet bedding layer

We got a delivery of sharp sand to use as the bedding layer under some block paving. Because of the location we couldnt leave it sat where it was delivered so we were just aiming to get the project done before this rain came back too hard. We got one section laid but then the rain came on too...

    Hardcore?

I am digging up an area to monoblock for someone. There is a layer of, what i think is hardcore, above the subsoil. I am just thinkin to reuse this. Does it look like acceptable hardcore to you? Its a bit less 'stony', less bigger stones, than the normal MOT1 i get from TP. What do you think?

    Hardcore?

I am digging up an area infront of a house to monoblock. I think that the area has had a layer of Hardcore on top of the existing soil. Its a bit less stony, less larger stones, than the hardcore I usually get from TP. Am I okay to just reuse it? Does it look like like acceptable hardcore?

    Builders sand used under slabs

I had hoped that the ones under the shed would be fine. I might just lift the few that lead up to the shed and replace that with sharp sand and then just leave the rest. Its a lesson hard learned.

    Builders sand used under slabs

Recon its advisable to lift them and relay it? There's going to be a shed sat over most of it so if it needs changing then I will do it before the shed goes down.

Log cabin base but restricted access

If you are going to put posts at the corners maybe you should think about setting them on metal post supports set in concrete. This will stop them rotting.

I was recommended by a handyman I know that I could lay a sand base and then just sprinkle some cement on before i laid each slab (400mm x 400mm) for stability. We laid a base of hardcore and then just about 1cm of sand, flattened it...
