Hi all Is there max roof height warm roof construction,I know via permitted development it's 3 metres.. But with full plans can this be exceeded. The property is semi detached so the build is within 2 metres to boundary. Thanks

First of all thanks everyone for helping with my self build, so much appreciated. Next stage complete the parapet wall design,roof timbers on for warm roof.My plan is to complete the top of the parapet wall either side,them fix the roof down. Need to keep the parapet wall to minimum height...

I thought a little strange,but he was convinced fine,so I could fix the timber wall plate to wall above rsj.Pad stones are to be sorted monday,said he would normally mortar up but the bad weather.

Yes, parts of the wall are touching,some not maybe 1 to 3 mm in places,he said just to keep the rsj in place untill he returns monday

Just to add,the cavity I mentioned is only a 10mm gap so maybe just a mortor joint. Looking closer he has put slate under the joist sitting on rsj inside

Follow up Had a builder around earlier,quoting for rsj's. He stated I could run the timber joist inside rsj and bring ceilling height down avoiding messing around with stack,just divert pipe to the left...does this sound a good idea??? IV been reading you can insert the timber plate into rsj...

Hi,the bends were always just temporary,think my plan of action for now is long Flexi connector, continue with the wall and roof ,then bite the bullet and core through side of wall and connect up,at least then all out the way for nice job,coping stones right to wall.Have the core drill at work...
