    Stair Nosing

Thank you Do you mean the gap between the edge of the top step and the new nosing? So there’s no getting away from there essentially being two bullseye ends? (One on top of the other?)

    Stair Nosing

Just to add I ordered one product online (pictures attached) and placed it on my top step, but it doesn’t ‘grip’ the curve of the step and sort of just sits on top instead I can make it more secure with nails/glue But I don’t think that’s right and feel there must be a better solution

Help with cracking on Fibreglass flat roof

Help with cracking on Fibreglass flat roof

Ok thanks very much Have attached a picture of the gutter side The repairs could be above my skill/knowledge so will speak to initial contractor and see what he says first If it can be a localised repair maybe that’s better my concern of course is that these are just the first areas to...

Help with cracking on Fibreglass flat roof

Hi thanks very much for you reply so am I talking a localised repair? Is that possible? Or in this situation can you only redo the whole thing? the area at the top is where there was some old fence posts laying across the roof for a few months (that had some moss surrounding them, hence the...

Mystery leak in Roof between Velux Windows

To give an update the builder has returned and replaced the felt at the front section of the roof I was on the roof with him and saw that the old felt had not stuck sufficiently at the front and had water underneath when pulled up. So it seems that your initial thoughts about the felt being...

Mystery leak in Roof between Velux Windows

Thanks would you say it’s a big job? Could just the front section of the roof be redone? (it’s only 2 years old) And how urgent would you say based on the patches discovered over the last couple of months the builder is away but says he can come back next month

Mystery leak in Roof between Velux Windows

Hello again I’ve discovered a new damp patch on the ceiling higher up now. I’m wondering if the issue is at the flat roof above as previously suggested and is running down between the windows to the original patch I found there is a vent centrally above in this area (one of three) and I’m...

Mystery leak in Roof between Velux Windows

ok thank you will try that I don’t know if I mentioned but the flat roof has its run off at the front, so any water that goes on the flat roof eventually runs off down the tiles past the Velux windows so I will certainly do as per your suggestion and run water on the flat roof but it will...

Mystery leak in Roof between Velux Windows

Thank you is there a way you could suggest I might be able to achieve that? I assumed I wanted to try and target specific areas in order to narrow down the location of the leak if water goes everywhere, won’t that make it harder to figure out the leak location?

Mystery leak in Roof between Velux Windows

UPDATE so today with it being a warm day I thought it a good idea to experiment to see if I could locate the cause of the leak I poured about 6 buckets of water: down the sides of the Velux windows, on the top side of the Velux windows, on the Tiles surrounding the Velux windows, on the Flat...
