    Thanks @jj4091 and @Tricky-Dicky. Appreciate your help with this. Model number is HK624010FB. Replaced the plug and hob seems to be working OK again. Hopefully the 13A fuse is sufficient!

    Hi jj - thanks for the reply. I've taken the back of the units off and it was the appliance plug. Fuse blowing has created a small hole (see photos): Is this a DIY job, i.e. reconnect wires to a new plug and new fuse and go steady with the hob? Or best to hold off and get an electrician...

    Stubborn tap head valve

    Hi all, Trying to remove a kitchen tap valve as the tap is dripping. Giving it quite a bit of welly in an anti-clockwise direction but won't seem to budge. WD40, hot water plus a lot of elbow grease haven't helped. Any idea of how to get it out before I start looking up new taps to buy...
