Trying to remove a kitchen tap valve as the tap is dripping. Giving it quite a bit of welly in an anti-clockwise direction but won't seem to budge. WD40, hot water plus a lot of elbow grease haven't helped. Any idea of how to get it out before I start looking up new taps to buy?
1. When you say anti-clockwise, I assume you mean pushing down on the free end of the spanner per your illustration, which is correct.
2. Try tapping (medium hard) the end of the spanner downwards while supporting the spout.
