Thanks both- I’m worried I’m not handy enough to cut piping or do it in the right place. Would it maybe be easier for me to just buy new copper tap tails which would fit the new tap?

Help! New to this and just realised the supplied flexihoses on a new mixer tap don’t fit my wonky Looking plastic piping. Any idea what’s needed? I’ve been googling all day and still no clearer. Old fitting is on the left in first pic which is a straight copper pipe. Any advice would be really...
