    So you are saying that the batteries are all the same fit for different tools (except voltage) I looked at your link and there is quite a difference in price between a makita with no battery and charger and one with battery and charger

    Thats an odd number of cells? but I guess it would have to be to make it harder for people to strip the old battery packs to bit and replace them with rechargable batteries So what do you think the main differance is with the 12 and 18V? Dose the 18V draw the same current as the 12V?
