Hi datarebal, Thanks for the reply. mortar was replaced 5 years ago by a local roofer. He didn’t spot the missing lead welt/tilt I’ve added some extra pics showing the complete porch, valley mortar, damp area, wet valley boards, wet membrane. Cheers John

Thanks Barthy, The valley lead is 450mm and channel is about 200mm wide. Are the fibre cement strips meant as an additional barrier ? Cheers John

Hi Barthy, The weather here is not so good for removing the porch valley tiles this next week Just wondering if I could remove the lead valley mortar fillets and use a mastic sealer to make a temporary welt down each side of the lead to tide me over the winter? Thanks
