Work recommended but ultimately proven not needed

The plumber i have to say was good in the work carried out. The issue really is that there is a meter on the shared stop tap, which as far as I'm aware is not normal hence the assumption it was a single supply. As far as I'm aware he had expertise and should have checked that before completing...

Work recommended but ultimately proven not needed

No I can claim back for the wrongly fitted overcharge and assuming they will correct by putting a meter in my property.I just don't know whether I should be asking for a discount from the plumber and complaining with Severn Trent.

Work recommended but ultimately proven not needed

So I switch from a unmetered rateable water supply to metered. 3 months later got a massive bill. Assume a leak. I have a meter on the path outside my property which matches the meter reading done by Severn Trent. Follow steps and diagnose a leak in the supply line to the house (leak indisctir...

    Flat Roog Finish around Paparpet

Hi all, looking for some advice. Been narrowing down a leak and I think it's linked to the flat roof. Managed to get some ladders to have a look. This area around the parapet (green on floorplan) looks suspect at the end where the felt (purple area on floorplan) meets the epdm roofs (red)...

Floorplan, blue water shows where the leak has presented, starting to think this is a flat roof issue.

What pictures would help? As a bit of an update, I've noticed this in the bedroom directly above the RSJ, which csnt be a coincidence. Also looks damp on the left but nothing internal, is this because of the blown render do you think? Leak is appearing on the left hand side of the pitched...

    Wrong tiles fitted, advice please!

Its frustrating because I've had 5 reputable roofers come around now and everyone has just said rather than finding the issue they'll just replace the whole roof. I know the membrane and lathes are less than 4 years old, same with the velux and its flashing kit, it just seems unesscessary to rip...

OK thanks. 1 roofer inspected the membrane at the top and pointed out that it didn't return up the wall but butted up to it, could that be the issue?

Yes and the wall you see at the back is the patio doors. It only leaks in heavy rain, even then a had a few heavy showers without anything.

    Wrong tiles fitted, advice please!

To be honest I just don't want them touching anything again. Went off reviews on my builder but had to call them back a few times and don't want them touching anything again. Could just the wrong tile cause this issue? Had 4 roofers around, only 1 spotted it's the wrong tile for pitch but all...

The leak below the RSJ is new to me, only happened in heavy wind and rain. https://photos.app.goo.gl/RMexZHbyVdZ8EoJy8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/Whuxu6Qf8Wx1muV17

Pretty much on the underside of these marks, tiny bit in the center and a fair bit level with the flashing and rearward along that line into the house https://photos.app.goo.gl/ik2YENcz64mwnPuw6

Sorry its my bad, there are soakers fitted, just had a proper look. Just had another quote and he's saying the felt doesn't have a return at the top under the bedroom window and thinks water is getting underneath in heavy rain. Flashing etc all looks OK

When you say detailing do you mean flashing? There's no soakers on the edge where it's leaked, if I retile and fit those could that help

Not sure how to reorientate the image. Forgot to say down pipe has already been routed directly into gutter

    Wrong tiles fitted, advice please!

Hi all, I have a small pitched roof in a bit of a mess. I've been advised by 3/4 roofers that the tiles fitted are for a min 35 degree roof where the pitch is actually 20 deg which is cause wind driven rain under the tiles, and is leaking. They have all quoted for a complete replacement with...
