    Splashback behind induction hob

    Thanks - I've actually already had the kictchen installed, but the glass they provided didn't fit the space. The only heat transfer to the wall seems to be from steam rather than the heat of the pans, and it gets warm at most, not very hot. Think I'll do without.

    I keep getting conflicting advice! Including different views from the Howdens salesperson and the details on their website. I've got an induction hob, with a laminate splashback behind it, which matches the worktop. I know if I had gas, I'd need to have something else behind the hob, or cover...

    Dafty front door question

    I'm replacing my wooden-framed front door with UPVC. I'm aware of of issues people have had, when they find out there's no lintel and the wall was built up directly over the wooden frame. I don't think I'll be in this position as my front door is a little bit further in than the wall...

    Flat roof flashing - leak

    We moved in to this house in May. The garage is a flat roof extension and joins the external wall of the house, which is pebble dash rendered. Looks like it was done on the cheap as it's just mortar flashing and while the felt has been recently been redone, they've just gone over the old stuff...
