GRANT oil combi boiler PRV leaking

No, I havn't checked this. Any idea where it's situated in the Grant combi 26E and how to free it? Or will it be best to replace this before the mixer valve. Just been and checked for an nrv in the boiler pipework and found none, have to assume they are inside the pump connections ???

GRANT oil combi boiler PRV leaking

THANKS for your replies. I decided to replace the plate heat exchanger [even though it was just 3 years old] as I felt this was the source of the continuous water pressure build up and the consequential prv leak. I've waited until now to test the result, and it's been successful! The pressure...

    HOT WATER TEMP. INCONSISTENT

Hi, Firstly, I am neither plumber nor heating engineer, just a willing diy, have a go guy. I have a Grant 26 oil fired combi boiler which started continually leaking water from the prv to the outside. The pressure was at 1 bar until the heating system cut in, when it would increase to 2.5 and...

GRANT oil combi boiler PRV leaking

GRANT oil combi boiler PRV leaking

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify, the boiler gauge pressure SLOWLY builds up again to 2.3bar. [after I discharge via the prv] when only HW is on, but QUICKER once the c. heating is running. The exp.vessel was checked by engineer and he said the pre set pressure of 1.0 bar was correct...

GRANT oil combi boiler PRV leaking

I had a GRANT oil combi boiler 26 fitted three years ago as a replacement for a 10 year old, failing equivalent. Up until recently [approx. 2 weeks ago now] it has performed faultlessly. Now, since the guarantee has expired, the boiler has decided to 'kick off.' I checked the obvious first then...
