Replaced 3 lights switches and one keeps all of the lights on and makes the others not work!

That sounds like the answer. The intermediate switch by one side of the bed and the 2-way switch by the door were easy to replace as they matched the new switches. The 2-way on the other side of the bed was a really old light switch which didn’t have Com marked. I assumed that L1 on the old...

Replaced 3 lights switches and one keeps all of the lights on and makes the others not work!

I replaced three light switches in our bedroom, two are 2-way and one is an intermediate switch. I carefully followed the existing wiring, but now one of the 2-way switches if it’s switched on makes the other two switches not work. If it’s switched off then the other two switches work as...

    Light switch help

I connected it to the com that has the constant live red wire (so 2 red wires into 1 com as it was wired on the old light switch). Now everything works as it should, but I will always take a photo from now on :D

    Light switch help

Yay we’re nearly there! Lights work as they should apart from the dining room lights don’t work, but that’s because I have 1 disconnected red cable. Where should this be connected? I am assuming one of the com?

    Light switch help

Thanks for your help, I’ve connected up the yellow, blue and red wires as you mentioned and now have 3 red wires not connected. All three of them come from sheaths with black and earth cables. The black cables are all connected together in a connector block.

    Light switch help

Rather stupidly I didn’t take any photos as I’d already done the other light switches in the house by just copying the connections to the new light switch. I’ve tried connecting wires to both of the com wires (in the original switch they were twisted together and only in one of the com...
