    Boost pump cycling.

So at the moment I have the large CWSC in the attic with one outlet going to the hot water cylinder and the other directly to the booster pump. Central heating is an unvented setup. outlet from hot water cylinder goes directly to pump as well. Outlets from the pump feed two 6 port manifolds with...

    Boost pump cycling.

Rob I have the dishwasher connected to a hot water supply utilizing the solar panels to reduce energy consumption. Have done so since panels installed 10 years ago without any issues. I can easily switch back to the cold supply if I have to though.

    Boost pump cycling.

Yeah its a positive head pump - its probably the solenoid in the dishwasher not allowing a strong flow of water past - pump reacts the same way if I open a tap partially - might have to connect the dishwasher directly to the attic expansion tank?

    Boost pump cycling.

Hi - ITs a Techflo T3 - I think Stewart Turner manufactured them. With the dishwasher the pump cycles on and off every 1 second or less which cant be good for the pump. Was thinking a 5l or 10l pressure tank on the cold circuit would stop this?

    Boost pump cycling.

Hi All, I recently added a 3 bar twin booster pump to boost the pressure to all outlets on my vented domestic water system. Its working out very well except the pump cycles on and off after flushing the toilet and also when the dishwasher is filling. Thinking of adding two expansion/accumulator...

Thanks Tony - does that mean that if if you are installing a pressurized cylinder in a vented setup you would still require a qualified installer?

Unvented cylinder in a vented system

Hi All - have to move location of my vented hot water cylinder so am taking the opportunity to install a solar panel. I initially planned to change to an unvented system as most of the pipework is in the attic and got my hands on an unvented stainless steel dual coil 250litre tank at a good...

    Tricity Bendix Dishwasher not heating.

Hi All, Have a tricity bendix dishwasher model TDF222 - suddenly stopped heating the water but will complete a full cycle. Had a look around - it has a water heater on the intake pipe as opposed to an element in the sump - look this off and connected it to 220v briefly - heated up. Then...

    multi fuel stove

Hi all, I have just been offered a stove with a back boiler and am thinking of using it in the conservatory. However I am not interested in connecting it up to rads etc. Can a stove with a back boiler be operated "dry" without running water through it? Ta in advance.
