Ok will do - the problem came about because whoever wired it wrapped it over a pipe in the bathroom & we basically wanted to remove it or just correct it so it is straight - seriously this house is held together with blue tac & super glue!

There is still an oil tank which will not be used, does that make a difference. We are getting rid of the whole oil system.

Hi we are doing some diy & have found an old earth cable which goes from an old oil boiler which is not being replaced & has been isolated - the wire goes from the boiler through to the mains water connector - can we remove the wire? or clamp off?
