    I've noticed on two of my windows, the rubber seal on the outside has deteriorated and snapped. The units appear fine (no condensation) but I would like to replace this seal. Trouble is, whenever I Google window seal, glazing tape, or gasket seal, it just keeps taking me to the rubber seal...

    Yes next job to get the shower tap installed, is get my management company to turn off the roof tank so he can replace the jammed stop cock. The bath itself had isolating valves but he didn't trust them. I suppose having a working stopcock in the flat is sensible in any event!

    The red one is definitely open. The blue one is harder to tell. It keeps spinning and the nut in the middle keeps loosening as I turn. I presume I could grip the brass column with a set of pliers and turn? Or will the stem be inside that brass column?
