    It’s roughly 5inches higher. Not sure if this will have any bearing but my walls are solid walls no cavity. And the bitumen doesn’t go all the way to the edge.

    Laminate transition advice.

    I’m about to start laying laminate throughout the whole ground floor. The manufacturer says to use a moulding/ transition if i exceed 9m in a straight run. My room runs 13m through to the kitchen/dining room. Is it really needed if I leave 10mm along the sides or is it standard?

    Thank you for your response. So that wasn’t acting as a dpm combined with the tiles? And as there’s no signs of damp in the subfloor a standard vapour barrier will be fine?

    Hi, I recently bought a 3 bed built in 1960. I started gutting the place and pulled up what I now know to be Marley tiles. What I’m being told is I’ve essentially removed the dpm. I’m wondering if using a vapour barrier under my new laminate will be sufficient or is it more serious? Any help...
