Afraid not - old townhouse, that's the ground floor ceiling, someone else has the floor above, so I'd be coming in from below only. hopefully! don't believe the rose is original, so replacing wouldn't be the end of the world. Just a PITA, as the height (~ 11'6'') makes too much exploration...

hi, Was looking to update the lighting in the spare bedroom, & the shade I want comes complete with pendant fitting. Hadn't really looked at what was there already (had house 7 years) & first impressions weren't great - see photo. Best guess is that someone wired a new cable into the old...
