    Sorry, I should have added that, hob is absolutely fine, I'm going to test the top oven shortly once it's cooled back down but *seems* fine. Just done a good run with the thermometer 40 mins @ gas mark 4, reached 140c further 10 @ gas mark 6, reached 150c further 25 @ gas mark 7, reached 180c...

    Hi, We've just had to replace a gas oven because it was stuck on high heat and the thermocoupler had gone. New Beko Pro gas freestanding fitted on 22nd December now we have the issue that the new one won't heat up - bought an oven thermometer just in case I was imagining it (you never know!)...

    I did wonder if it was something like that, or maybe the thermostat. Is the repair economically worth it do you know? It's not an expensive cooker; I'd rather not just chuck it if it's not a costly repair at the same time if it's going to cost a few hundred then I might as well upgrade.

    Hi, I hope this is the right sub, apologies if not :) I have a Zanussi gas cooker, it's a double oven. The main large oven for some reason isn't regulating the gas flame and is stuck on a high flame - so we know it's stuck on at least gas mark 6. The small oven/grill cavity seems to be fine...
