I've checked the connections and they're all good so think it must be timer, especially if I turn clock manually.

Hi, my mechanical timer isn't working correctly, the clock doesn't move unless I gently touch it. If I manually move it it works ok so I'm assuming the timer is faulty.

I think I'm ok with the wiring now but on the programme timer and room stat they both have terminals for earths even though they're not on wiring diagrams, can I not use the earths and this means less core cable required. Thanks
