Electrical Test & Inspection -rental property

This light fitting in bathroom is going to be replaced, just checking how it is removed. Not sure what I am missing, but cannot see how it is removed. Removed 2 screwed on bits, the centre bulb holder is loose. Can't see how ceiling screws are accessed.

Electrical Test & Inspection -rental property

The electrician said they need changing as not to standard. Curious to check whether changing these in circumstances (old style Fuse Box & open bayonet fitting Bathroom Light) is pretty standard in rental property.

How is an electrical connection with a Block Connector (aka Connector Strip) viewed/assessed during Electrical Inspection ? Cable from wall socket fused plug goes to corner of entrance hall. Then connects to one of these Block Connectors covered with Insulation Tape. Cable then goes outside...

Could it be anything to do with Thermcouple next to pilot light ? Thermocouple is next to pilot light and connected to gas valve.

Vokera Excell 80SP -Pilot Light goes out when boiler switched on

I have a Vokera Excell 80SP boiler, the Pilot Light keeps going out when I switch boiler on. I can light the Pilot Light when boiler is switched Off, Mode switch at 0. and it stays lit. The Pilot Light stays on with boiler switched Off, that is Mode switch at 0. Off position. The Pilot Light...

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

The current problem is the Diverter Valve & radiators getting hot when Tap hot water switched on, which is what I'm looking at, not earlier problems. Not sure why you say "the chances are that the fulcrum is just missing the micro-switch", as boiler always now fires up. The push rod pin on...

And ? Wouldn't it be easier just to post an answer ? Ps: if you read the thread, you'd see there were different problems.

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

What's for real, someone checking before they do something. Other faults were dealt with earlier. Yes, I'm now doing the Diverter Valve and the pin on the plastic diverter is not coming out easily. I don't want to break it, because you can't get some parts for this boiler anymore...

Vokera Excell 80SP -Intermittent hot water

Took the Diverter Valve apart to replace parts from service kit. Typical, that some things on mine (which uses old 4709416 -Excell 80SP (Old Hydraulics) ) looks slightly different to that in service kit. 1) The pin doesn't seem to come away from my old plastic diverter. Does it...
