Thanks JohnD, does the triple pole isolator have to be fitted, and if so can it be in the bathroom. I wanted the fan to come on when i pulled the light switch chord.. so is a isolator necessary?

hi, i am considering installing a bathroom extractor fan. Can i wire the fan directly to my lighting circuit in the bathroom. If so do i feed wires from the lighting rose, or do i feed wires from the light switch (pull chord type) that is in my bathroom? Thanks Tony

well, i have charged battery and put on new (second hand starter) turned and started straight away. i suppose i will have to wait for next couple of days to see if battery holds charge. i will let you all know thanks again for your responses tony

thanks to you all so far. been and got a second hand starter (only £20) with solenoid attached and i have now fitted. car now turns but battery is as flat as a pancake. at least its turning now. before it just just clicked so something has changed. battery is on charge now so will reconnect...

i dont think its a flat battery... that is usually one small click when trying to start. this noise is a continious loud clicking / ticking noise that remains when you have the key turned. Noise stops when you turn key off. Any ideas? Thanks

I have a 1993 escort, 1.4. Came back from my hols tried to start and it is making a load fast clicking sound from beneath the bonnet / dash area. Car wont turn over at all. Any ideas anybody?

this could be possible but the fact that its only the heating blower that doesnt work again with the new fuse box fitted says ts not likely to be the box... i may be wrong.. but thanks again for your advice i havent checked the switch to the blower.. a job to do at weekend.. hopefully this...

Hi Thanks very much for all your advice. Well onn Saturday i managed to get the blower off. What a job and yes a fiddly job getting all the trim out of the way. seems blower is ok (bought another from the scrappy and fited but still blower not working) So i have now taken the fuse box out...
