    mounting shower mixer valve

Nice pictures are useful. I guess going down to 15mm for the last few feet wont cause much loss of flow. It just seemed odd that they go from 15 up to 22 on the stepped adaptor. Once I knew the phrase "bar mixer fixing kit" I was able to search for it. I even found out that Triton do fixing kit...

    mounting shower mixer valve

I have a Triton Nene shower mixer valve which has 2 x 3/4" female on the back. I have 2 x 22mm pipes coming down the wall so I need to turn a right angle into the valve. It comes with 1/2" to 3/4" offset adaptors I suppose to take up errors in the spacing but I can get that right (hopefully!)...

shower pump - pipes under floor

I hadnt thought of going overhead. Easier than going under floor but more expense in copper! The pump will have to push further uphill - I was thinking of a 2 bar. I want a good strong but not massive flow. will that be ok?

shower pump - pipes under floor

I want to install a shower pump. It is a gravity feed system with hot tank in the airing cupboard next door. To fit the pump in the airing cupboard is too hard, the pipes are behind the tank and theres very little space. I want break into existing 22mm pipe work feeding the bath/shower...

Central Heating - how to find the blockage?

For the record, and it may help someone - I found the blockage. There is a gate valve next to the tank feeding the radiator circuit. It was pretty solidly blocked with sludge. There was a only a very slight pull to a magnet. Thanks for your advice guys.

Central Heating - how to find the blockage?

I think its the gas, I dont see any other. Chris, I have a new pump, it was a 50, I got a 60, it makes no difference if its on middle or top speed. I've cleaned the rads out.

Central Heating - how to find the blockage?

AH! the 15mm would be the gas... doh! The pump returns to the bottom of the tank. I put 'top' twice sorry it was late! I was thinking of cutting the pipe from upstairs to downstairs and attaching a mains hosepipe and trying to flush the downstairs. The drain is on the return by the pump...

There are four pipes to the boiler. Near the top theres a 25?mm going up to the tank and a 22mm from the pump. Near the top theres a 25?mm going up to the tank and a 15mm going down through the floor. thanks for replying.

Central Heating - how to find the blockage?

The pump is on the highest speed and is a 60. Ive tried lower speeds, just gets worse. The rads are all clean. The pipes may be sludged though ive tried to flush them out. Should I replace the pipes or can they be cleaned out? I've tried a chemical flush agent.

Central Heating - how to find the blockage?

Yes I've tried shutting the early ones off completely. It only helps a little. The water in the pipe is reasonably hot but it doesnt rise up through the rads and they are clear. Its like there isnt enough flow. The pump is in the return and the temp there is 45deg - same as flow into the lounge...

Central Heating - how to find the blockage?

My CH system is an old single-pipe system about 30 years old. The boiler is about 15 (Potterton Kingfisher II 50, the pump new and most rads have been replaced. The downstairs rads take a long time to warm up and even then they are only warm at one end and cold at the other. Upstairs is not...
