    What's that noise?! [video attached]

Pressure is fine and getting heat throughout, just the noise is the issue...

    What's that noise?! [video attached]

That seems to make sense, it certainly sounds like there is air in the system but strange that nothing comes out upon bleeding. The boiler is a Baxi Megaflo 28 system boiler, not sure if the engineer bled the pump or if it has an auto vent? The initial job was to carry out a switch of the...

    What's that noise?! [video attached]

Boiler is making noise. I've managed to record it in action. At it's worst I can hear really loud gurgling even from the 2nd floor. I can also hear water running in the pipes and radiators, although when trying to bleed no air comes out and no cold spots either. Pressure looks ok too. We're...

    UFH return/flow piped wrong way

The airing cupboard is on the same floor as the UFH (first floor) so presumably first and second would need to be drained. In the airing cupboard the flow and return of the UFH can be seen and there is plenty of space to work around. What would be a rough cost for this so I can be sure what to...

    UFH return/flow piped wrong way

Not sure it's going to be possible to switch these pipes around in that small a space...

    UFH return/flow piped wrong way

The plumber was saying it's quite a job, draining down the system and there isn't really much space in the manifold to swap the pipes around, would have to be done in the airing cupboard. I'd be pleased if they can do it for that much, that's a typical call out charge!

    UFH return/flow piped wrong way

The house was built in 2018 but moved into it a few years ago. Wonder if it's worth contacting the original developers?!

    UFH return/flow piped wrong way

Yes, 13 and 14 are the wrong way round. It's the blue which is hotter than the red...

    UFH return/flow piped wrong way

So I believe my return and flow into my UFH has been done the wrong way around. The return (blue) is hot but the flow (red) is cooler. The system is an Emmeti FMU3 and I've attached the instructions for it. On page 3 it explains what's happening in the mixing part. And here's a video of it...

    Intermittent boiler burn

I wouldn't have a clue! It is an unvented cylinder. As an update I switched off the stats and left the system to cool down for about 30 mins before turning one again. The boiler fired up to 75 and this time stayed there for about 10 mins before very slowly creeping up, probably another 5 mins...

    Intermittent boiler burn

Is that something best left to the plumber? Is it safe to leave the boiler running in this state or shall I just leave it off?

    Intermittent boiler burn

I think there may be an issue with my boiler. It's a Baxi Megaflow 18 System Boiler. The burner only stays on for about 30-40 secs and cuts out when the temperature reaches low 80's. The temperature is set to 75. The burner then remains off for 3 minutes (timed 3 cycles of this behavior) before...

Franke Olympus drip, but screw rounded off

I've bought a replacement cartridge for my Franke Olympus, I believe it's the hot side which is dripping. Unfortunately I can't seem to unscrew the tap, it seems as though the screw may have become rounded off. I've tried using the allen key which came with the cartridge as well as others I...
