Valiant ecoTEC plus 428 - Heating not working

@CBW Yeah, but I am currently enjoying a (apparently) working heating since last night! I am going to leave it for now if it stops working again in a few days. My last experience when the fourth plumber came is that the heating would work for like two days and then it would poof disappear and...

Valiant ecoTEC plus 428 - Heating not working

Yes, there are three radiators in the living room where the thermostat is. Each of the radiators have the thermostatic valves and all them are currently set to 5/6 at the moment. Currently, one of the three radiators are hot, the other two wall radiators (looking like, see photo named ui.jpeg)...

Just to verify, with turning off the thermostatic valves, you mean putting it on the * / snowflake, right? Or do you mean putting it on zero? What do you mean with the room thermostat? As far as I know it's the thermostat for the whole house / heating? (Sorry, English is not my native language)

The radiators are warm/hot again; some are hotter than others but they are all not cold.

Oh, that's not what the last four plumbers told me that came over the last few months :( I also think my parent's house also has the thermostat in the same room with radiators that have these Lockshield like valves on it I have these kind (not exactly the same type) on the radiators...

Valiant ecoTEC plus 428 - Heating not working

@Mottie I don't appear to have any radiators without thermostatic valves Anyways this morning I forgot I turned off the hot water on the programmer, the hot water side, still is set to 'off' instead of 'continued', I might to shower and I actually had hot water! Could that be because I lowered...

Valiant ecoTEC plus 428 - Heating not working

Hmmm, some of the radiators are not hot anymore but luke warm now without having touched the thermostat or the Valiant boiler. Guess, that's because the rooms are at temperature? Also the heater/radiator icon is flashing again, though Would trying to lower the d.0 to towards 16 (or lower)...

Valiant ecoTEC plus 428 - Heating not working

If I understand you correctly. Tomorrow I should be able to turn of the hot water together with the heating, the expectation here that everything works happily. If the radiators are not staying hot/warm after enabling the hot water mode then I should turn off the heating mode to allow the hot...

What the next step? Tomorrow morning turning on the hot water again and see if the radiators stay warm during the day?

Amazing!!!! Looks like the largest radiators are already warm towards hot! Others are getting towards hot. Not all of them but it's progress :D I will wait a bit longer. Bit odd that its a bit over the place which radiators are already hot but cool

Okay, switched hot water mode to off on the programmer downstairs. Trying the commands to set the boiler to 20. To make sure I understood, do I need to turn the hot water on again after I did that? No, correct? Steps done: Set the mode for hot water to `off` instead of `continued` Changed the...

Great, I will try to lower that setting and let you know. I would be delighted if that solves the problem! Regarding changing, from another forum topic, I understood this are the steps: Press the "I" and "+" keys simultaneously. The display shows "d.O" Press the "i" key. The display shows the...

Thank you, that's a relieve to hear. I will definitely try that shortly. Regarding your pump question, I think, you mean, the following apparatus Grundfos Alpha2L next to the Valiant. Am I correct? Water-pump by dustyfrog posted 25 Apr 2022 at 8:27 PM My apologies for my lack of understanding...

Valiant ecoTEC plus 428 - Heating not working

As far as I am aware there is one three way valve on the ground floor. I did a bit of reading on the site, I checked the d.0 value which appears to be 30. If I understand it correctly, I should change this to a lower value. I think it's suggested to change this 15-20kW? At this might help with...

Valiant ecoTEC plus 428 - Heating not working

Since February we are having issues with the heating of our house while the hot water for the shower works perfectly well. The actual heating the rooms, or the heating up the radiators don't work. Appears it only works for 1 or 2 radiators on the ground floor. All the other floors not much...
