    Garage utility room

When you say 'with 25mm across the uprights' what do you mean exactly? I don't think the step down is a big issu for us, personally. So I'm not too concerned about it. The garage is attached, but not integral as such. I have the insulation ready to be fitted tho. The cavity walls are not...

I would have access via a door from my kitchen, the rear double glazed door at the back of the garage, an a (yet to be installed) door from the remaining garage area.

    Garage utility room

Looking for some advice on creating a utility room in the end of my garage. The garage is attached to the house, with access from the kitchen, directly into the garage. The garage floor level is lower than the ffl of the house. Now, I want to create the utility room by forming an area with...

    NAECI?

I take it you usually work under JIB conditions? If you do, and you start working on a NAECI site, keep an eye on what's happening with your holiday stamps. I'm not going to go into the story, it's too long, but jumping from JIB to NAECI and back can create problems, as they pay your holiday...

    Is my kitchen wiring correct?

You are of course assuming that it is in fact meant to be a ring curcuit. Could the kitchen be on it's on radial curcuit, what size is the fuse/breaker? It probably isnt, but you never know.

    Low hot water pressure

Hi mate, Yeah I got it sorted, was a while ago now. From memory I think there was some kind of filter which was restricting the flow of water into the boiler. he engineer just took the thing out and it done the trick. He said it was very common on those boliers and really wasnt worth...

    Low hot water pressure

It's out of warranty I'm afraid. I don't think it's an installation problem, though I will ask the installer to have a look at it. Trying to get a time which suits us both is a little difficult though. :?

    Low hot water pressure

The boiler is 10000 BTu from memory and it is only about 18 months old, so it shouldn't be that bad, should it?

    Low hot water pressure

How would I go about removing the scaling.

    Low hot water pressure

It has been getting worse over time. You think it could be scaling then? I'm surprised that scaling could affect the pressure so much. :? The hot water as I say, is 1.8 liters per minute and I just tested the cold water pressure at 1 liter per SECOND

    Low hot water pressure

The flow switch doesn't operate when I turn on my tap. I believe the flow switch is designed to operate at a flow rate of 2l/min, but I only appear to have a flow rate of 1.8 l/min so the flow switch is never going to operate. :? i can't understand what is restricting the flow because the cold...

    Low hot water pressure

item 26 is listed as an actuator, which I suppose could be called a flow switch too. I'll check that later. Where would the filter be if there was one? Can it be seen on that diagram?

    Low hot water pressure

The inlet valve I opened was item 30 and the actuator I'm on about is item 26.

    Low hot water pressure

There is an actuator just after the inlet valve, could it be anything to do with that? Daiphram? Flowswitch? what parts are they? (see pic)

    Low hot water pressure

I've got a Vokera Compact combi and I've got a problem with it. The heating for the rads works fine but the hot water pressure is terrible. Downstairs in the kitchen the hotwater comes out at a trickle, but upstairs in the bathroom it is virtually non existence. When I first turn on a...

    Hob, Oven and Dishwasher Question

If you have a 20A fuse at the main board, why would you put a 32A and 2 x 16A fused in your kitchen? Doesn't add up. :?
