    Extension brickwork / roof question

I'm building an extension, its 3.8m x 5m with one of the shorter sides being joined onto the house, all solid walls. On one of the long walls I have a 3.5m catnic lintel (pic attached) for a bifold door. Can I lay a wall plate directly on top of this lintel or should I lay a few courses of...

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

@ianmcd @CBW I just fixed it by putting the black wire with the browns. :D Made a post on plumbersforums, a user suggested that and it worked. I was starting to worry that I had broke the new boiler.

The burner reset button also didn't do anything.

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

How do I do that? I have unscrewed the black cap above the system pressure gauge and held the reset button which didn't do anything.

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

I increased the pressure but it did nothing. I put wire from terminal 2 and 3 together and the boiler didn't fire up when the power came back on. The only way I can get the boiler to fire up is with the Test switch that you can see on my previous pics. Does this mean something must have shorted...

Concrete lintel or RSJ Beam, advice needed - bifold doors.

Floor supported, yep 225mm The wall isn't rendered. A beam like the one in this pic? So the width of the welded plate would be 225mm which would sit on the bricks, but how would the bricklayer lay bricks on top of this? by building up the outer brickwork on top of the plate? Thanks.

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

wiring from house with fuse: wiring from receiver going through the external wall into boiler wiring on the receiver (still think this is wrong) the boiler lights up when I hit the test switch on the boiler it lights up like this and the boiler fires up, but still no hot water.

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

Are you sure? Because I'm sure the wiring wasn't like that before it got pulled out. Is there no other way the wires can be arranged? If it is the boiler then how could that have happened? It's a brand new boiler... The lights on the boiler are on.

Concrete lintel or RSJ Beam, advice needed - bifold doors.

I'm fitting 3.1m bifold doors into a solid brick external wall. There's only going to be a few courses of brick above the door and a flat rubber roof, so not much weight. What type of lintel or beam would be best for this? There's lots of different types of RSJ beams out there and I don't know...

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

We had a dodgy plumber who didn't finish the central heating side off so we can't put the central heating on at the moment. I don't want to run all the crud in the old radiators through the new boiler.

I'm convinced that the wiring isn't right.

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

I replaced the fuse with a working one. The light on the Danfoss receiver comes on but the boiler doesn't fire up when I run the hot tap.

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

The boiler is a Grant Vortex Pro outdoor oil boiler. The fitter wired it all up with this Danfoss RX1 which we had already. The wire from the boiler has 5 wires : Brown, Blue, Earth, Grey, Black. The 5a fused wire from the house has 3 wires: Brown, Blue, Earth. Thing is it worked before.

Boiler receiver wiring - Danfoss RX1

It used to work. But the wire got tugged and pulled all the connectors out (except the grey one, that's still in the correct place). I tried to wire it up again in the below pic but the hot water isn't coming on. How should I wire this thing up so it works? The clean wire is the boiler, the...
