    Does AAV in the loft not suck the air in sufficiently therefore negating requirement to vent through roof ?

    My roofer has just installed a valve at the top of my internal soil pipe and cut off the contact with the outside air via pipe through the roof. Now bathroom stinks. Was he wrong to do this and is it a roofer problem OR plumber ?
