    Thanks for all of the replies. When prodding around with a flat head SD I removed some lime scale and found another hole as displayed on the picture, below the handle hole. I've been pushing a screwdriver inside, trying to release a mechanism. Still no joy. Might try the belt tip that was...

    I've tried the WD40, still no movement. Seems such a bad design. Perhaps I'll leave the wd40 for a while to take effect. At a bit of a loose end. Thanks for your help so far.

    Thanks Jeff, I'll spray some on. The picture is what you see inside once I removed the thread. Looks like it might take small flat head screw driver. I've tried that and no movement. DW40 may do the trick. Keep you posted cheers

    Thanks for the reply both . I've taken tge handle off and it's exposed a screw thread. The top doesn't seen to lift off either.

    Hi , I have a dripping bathroom tap and can't find how to remove the top handle part to see what part I need to replace. I've isolated the valve to stop the dripping but could rally do with some advice please. I can't see anywhere to put unscrew and the top hasn't got a cap. Help needed please:)
