Hi , I have a dripping bathroom tap and can't find how to remove the top handle part to see what part I need to replace. I've isolated the valve to stop the dripping but could rally do with some advice please. I can't see anywhere to put unscrew and the top hasn't got a cap. Help needed please:)

Sorry loads of grammatical errors, can't figure out how to edit the post. :)

Unless there is any sort of grubscrew on the back, I believe you may have to unscrew the bar (on the tap handle), and see where that gets you.
Use some grips or pliers, but protect the surface of the bar first.
I hope that helps :)

Thanks for the reply both . I've taken tge handle off and it's exposed a screw thread. The top doesn't seen to lift off either.

Thanks Jeff,

That worked a treat. The screw thread has been removed now and it's still not budging. Any further advice would be really appreciated. Many thanks

Thanks Jeff, I'll spray some on. The picture is what you see inside once I removed the thread. Looks like it might take small flat head screw driver. I've tried that and no movement. DW40 may do the trick. Keep you posted cheers

I've tried the WD40, still no movement. Seems such a bad design. Perhaps I'll leave the wd40 for a while to take effect. At a bit of a loose end. Thanks for your help so far.

If it's limescaled on then Wd40 won't do the job. Killrock gel limescale remover can be painted on (comes with a brush in the lid) and stays where you put it.
You could also pour some boiling water over it to expand the metal.
Then it's wiggle wiggle wiggle.
