Advice please We have noticed high damp readings around this blocked fireplace, chimney removed After investigation the remaining stack was full of debris & potentially blocked with cement We cleared the debris by hand & there is now strong air draw/draft Will this help with the damp?

Discovered this area of wall that had a metal covering Took the cover off and discovered it was full of debris & some kind of outlet was blocked It feels like the whole column downwards is full of debris The debris is very sooty also Help
