    Samsung freezer ice maker issue

ours did fail under warranty but last time it stopped I found a reset process on YouTube. Think there’s a hidden button. looks like you found and fixed meanwhile.

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

actually just thought I have a kt60 psc/loop tester. It's not calibrated but gives sensible readings on my istallation. (42 ohms on outside TT) and .6 IIRC on in house a comparison between our site ( we have fixed wiring test report from last year) and the other property would be interesting...

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

Yep correct on armour/cpc connected our end ( assume other end too or current wouldn't flow) When I'm next up I will see if they're OK if I take a look. I also have a long wander lead and dvm so may check main earth potential difference. Between locations. Knowing swa length etc a quick ohms law...

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

finally had a chance to look at earth current. previously the on site house was supplied by swa from one of the sub main “consumer units” but prior to leasing the main site both electricity and water were split. as electricity use has always been high I had checked the connection to this feed...

    Kewtwch KT60 no trip?

I have seen that some of the very new expensive testers still trip current MCBs its spec says it uses 15mA on the no trip range to measure loop and hence calculate PSC I guess if , if there is an element of leakage ( obviously below 30mA trip level) the 15 might take it over. Might give it a try...

    Kewtwch KT60 no trip?

Hi, in order to help with some of my testing ( got open post regarding earth current) I have sight of a kewtech psc/loop rcd tester wKT60. its old obviously but anyone know if no trip works OK as with older type ac RCDs . Itll be for "indication only "really

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

hi sorry been busy on other jobs. I’ll read through tomorrow but in response to earlier question on number of TT rods I’d guess at 4 spread over the site ( about 7 acres I think. Loads in those areas probably a few hundred watts each at a first thought. Fortunately from a “quadruped” point of...

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

its funny how things like this bug one particularly when unable to do any measurements! what if neutral and cpc were transposed in one of the non rcd feeds to a sub panel. At the remote point the feed cpc is not connected ( but say is actually neutral from source) and the cpc has become load...

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

Apologies by main earth I mean the earth conductor run from the DNO incoming cable termination through the wall to the distribution board. So yes clamping l-n-e. I had daughter do this earlier and reading was 14 amps . I seem to recall that for example neutral only would be say 50amps line...

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

it’s been like this since we have been there but obviously any work I do I do check the additions for isolation/ continuity and rcd trip times. think next time I’m there ( it’s 80 miles from my home) I’ll take my clamp meter and other testers ( I have old Robin continuity/isolation , red tester...

Current in TN-C-S main earth conductor

Hi I am a retired degree qualified electrical and electronics engineer. I help out at my daughters exotic animal rescue/sanctuary. Apologies for long post . Unfortunately most of the animal enclosures require heating and at the moment use (expensive) electrical heating. We have been looking at...
