FCU to step down amp rating

Thankfully it looks to be run in 2.5mm T.E, I've got a spool in the shed so can keep it all the same gauge!

FCU to step down amp rating

Thanks for the reply. I've opened it up to check. Ring goes off from bottom of box to sockets. T&e Wire out, wire in. Alarm circuit comes off as a single radial circuit wired in to the same mcb as a standalone. Again, I've tried to draw to illustrate... bear with me

Thanks for the response, not sure if this answers your question, but this is the circuit it would be pulled from:

FCU to step down amp rating

Hi all, Question around using multiple FCUs in a circuit. I've drawn some pictures to illustrate what I currently have and what I'd like to do, all dependent on whether it's safe/allowed! Currently I have a direct line from the CU to a small 3a fcu that feeds the alarm backup module. I...

    'Paste the wall' wallpapering question.

I did, but I was using different patterns on a feature wall. Worked well, yes. No lift, and that was a transition between PTW and PTP

    'Paste the wall' wallpapering question.

I've papered the baby room with a mix of paste the wall paper and paste the paper paper. The walls were lined and painted as it was an office before, it was a water based paint. Putting it up, the paste the wall gear was so much easier as you can properly saturate the wall and not lose any to...

    wifi cctv camera recommendation please.

I've had good use from Ctronics cameras on Amazon. Free app. WiFi enabled. Does need a power cable running to it, but I just spliced in an extra length and put the plug through a hole in the wall to a socket. Think I paid about £54 per camera. Pan, tilt, zoom, night vision. Been good cams...

    Raised bed, rear wall construction.

Hi all, Building some raised beds in the front drive. Going to be using sleepers for the front facing parts but wondering if anyone had advice on what I could use to build the back walls. Mostly to keep costs down, what thickness board would be suitable? Planters will be about 500mm high, so...

    Levelling soil for sub-base

Would be geotextile yeah. Need to redo the haunching around the block paving so hoping to get it right up to the edges, never going to 100% dodge the weeds but I'll give it a good go haha.

    Levelling soil for sub-base

Perfect, thanks for the reply. Looks like rain has put a halt to anything for a while now though... missus is gonna kill me with the mud getting tracked around... :sneaky:

    Levelling soil for sub-base

Hi all, Quick question. I'm building a gravel drive out front. I'm in the process of skimming the topsoil away until I reach a decent firm base. I'll be honest, it's hard work... I've got enough material away for 150-200mm sub base with 50mm depth gravel on top... The "levelled" layer has...

    Masonry paint over fence stain

Hi all, I have concrete fence posts. When I stained the fence with Ronseal one coat I was a lazy git and painted the concrete posts too. It lasted ok but obviously has started chipping now. I have some Sandtex masonry paint. Can I just paint over the old dried ronseal on the posts, or do I...

    PIR always active after redecoration

New battery fixed it right up. Will still have a think for a new position. Cheers for the help!

    PIR always active after redecoration

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go. Out of interest, can low batteries cause a sensor to constantly flag as active (thinking like a smoke detector, to prompt you to change the batt?)

    PIR always active after redecoration

Thanks for the response. I've added a couple of photos. The low batt warning has appeared in the last day or two, I suspect because the PIR is firing up all the time. No tamper alarms/codes to clear either, when I watch it on the app it flicks rapidly between "OK" and "ACTIVE" every few seconds.

    PIR always active after redecoration

Hi all, Long time lurker, first time poster. Long story short, got what looks like an Orisec system installed, wireless WiFi system. Wireless PIRs. Recently redecorated in the hallway (changed colour from dark to light, in case it matters) and now the PIR in the hallway is constantly being...
