Masonry paint over fence stain

Hi all,

I have concrete fence posts. When I stained the fence with Ronseal one coat I was a lazy git and painted the concrete posts too. It lasted ok but obviously has started chipping now. I have some Sandtex masonry paint.

Can I just paint over the old dried ronseal on the posts, or do I need to strip it all away?

At the very least you need to remove any loose paint [or other material] from the concrete.
