    What are you putting on top? Some stoves need a constructional hearth of 125mm thickness to comply with regs. Others are ok with a 12mm thickness. Needs to be a visual difference between the hearth and the flooring.

    Looks like hardboard with egg carton internal. Not really suitable for a bathroom, I'd recommend ripping out and refitting cement board or at a minimum moisture resistant placoplâtre before hanging your shower on it
