    Someone earlier asked the question , what is the max length of cable that can be used on a ring main . The answer being that its not the cable length that is the factor but the area covered , in domestic wiring it should not exceed 100m2 area . Can someone explain as I cant quite my head...

    I am carrying out some alterations in my kitchen . I'm thinking of running in a new cable for my cooker switch 6mm Twin and Earth . My question is , is it possible to have a double socket as a spur off the cooker switch , the double socket will be used for the microwave and a toaster . Thanks

    Angle grinder , not a bad idea , Luckliy enough I purchased a Bosch one last week with stone cutting disks . I'll certainly give that a try .
