    Worcester Heatslave - heating issue

So, after having a closer look, the head does detach from the valve body - that's a positive. The reason the pump wasn't being powered is because the micro switch was not being released. I messed about with it to try and adjust the lever position - it seemed ok until I put the head back on the...

Can't remove old Anti-roll bar linkage

Impact wrench would probably make this easier - as long as you have something secure on the top end.

Skoda Fabia 2007 repair or not

'Loose' timing belt is bad news - I'm surprised it'll run at all, even without valve damage. Shouldn't need a whole new engine unless something below the head has an issue. An AA recovery guy once told me my engine was knackered - it actually needed a new hydraulic tappet costing £5. Further...

    Worcester Heatslave - heating issue

Does the motor play any part in bringing the pump in - as I have the valve manual switch pushed across to give hot water to the radiators, but the pump still doesn't turn on. The pump will only turn on when the boiler is firing for hot water (either when bring the water up to temperature or when...

    Worcester Heatslave - heating issue

Thanks guys - much appreciated. With regards to the head, do I need to match up the exact model, or can I fit other model numbers that have the the correct mountings and have 5 wires? There appears to be a big difference in pricing between this exact model and others that appear to be similar. I...

    Worcester Heatslave - heating issue

Thanks everyone. I'm assuming the actuator calls the pump in then? It's a Honeywell V4044F1109 with 5 wires. Is your recommendation only to change the actuator, and not the actual valve? The valve seems to be switching ok with the synchron manual switch (if that helps any). Thanks again!

    Worcester Heatslave - heating issue

Thanks for your replies guys. Just a bit of a follow-up. I forgot that I had previously put the diverter valve manual switch across (which I presume gives both hot water and heating?). I think the heating stopped last winter so I did that to get it going again - boiler was hardly used since...

    Worcester Heatslave - heating issue

Hello... I'd be grateful for opinions on what may be causing the following symptoms on my Heatslave combi boiler (oil). When I turn the heating on, hot water will initially circulate around the system normally, but will eventually stop circulating and the radiators will cool down - but it does...
