New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Update - I sent them a detailed "Letter before Action" outlining the timeline and issue, correspondence with them, pan and cistern manufacturer, and this forum including photographs and links to the flush videos. I asked for £400 refund to cover the costs to put their work right or I was going...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Yeah - he actually came round the first time my dad called him to say it doesn't flush anything. He flushed it himself and thats when he said we needed a new toilet! So he came and saw it and still did nothing...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

I have requested a partial refund (10%) under 2015 Consumer Rights Act as I have had to resolve the issue myself and re-silicone the toilet and access shelf - his reply: "I have 2 weeks to complete the repairs - you got someone else in so that's down to you. Glad it's sorted" I've explained...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

M&R Building Joinery & Maintenance (we're in Blackpool). I haven't found much about them online! My elderly father engaged them after they responded to a post your requirement website for tradesman to bid on. They insisted we purchase everything and the charge was £4k for all labour. TBH the...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

I have discovered and fixed the issue to the weak flush. Water flush inlet pipe was blocked with silicone sealant in back of pan. The flush is now working perfectly. Sadly, even after sending pictures - the fitter still would not accept responsibility saying it was down to the products we...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

I've had this check to do back from the pan manufacturer. Unfortunately I can only check this by removing the pipe which probably means dismantling the panelling and cutting into the concealment. This would certainly explain the issue!

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Cistern flush I've unlocked the file - apologies. To me the water doesn't flow away quickly - but I'm no expert! Is it usual for water to come back up the overflow pipe when the flush is pressed? Also those big glugs of air coming into the cistern? The manufacturer has sent me something - so...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Blue Loo - sadly I relied on a professional plumber from a recommended website. I did not expect a professional to walk away from a bathroom install leaving a toilet that doesn't flush away waste saying, "Rimless toilets never flush properly", "These are eco, so you will always have to press the...

Thanks. I cannot find them online, fitter threw away all instructions from box. I have contacted the manufacturer and am awaiting a response.

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Ok, I've cut out the shelf to access the concealed cistern and had a look: 1. The cistern is filling completely - so a low water level is dismissed. 2. The cistern is installed 6-8" above the pan - so I guess there is enough height - so that can be dismissed. I have filmed the flush operating...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

One more thing, the plumber said there was absolutely nothing to adjust or set up on cistern or toilet - he said it all all comes set up by manufacturer - with no adjustment - so all he did was install what we gave him. YET - the instructions on the cistern - say "Step 7 - Set the cistern water...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Yes, it would seem odd that so many rimless are for sale - if they don't work. It maybe that the pan is defective - I have contacted the company. I will do the same for the cistern to see if there are any "adjustable" factors. Thanks so much for your input - it's been very helpful.

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Thanks again. I've spoken to the plumber again. He said the poor flush is because it's a rimless, and they are known for not clearing the pan. He said he can replace the toilet with a normal one for a day rate and it would (theoretically) resolve the problem. I'm still not convinced.

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

Thanks @ Madrab. I got all the stuff from Vic Plumbing but the toilet was then not available in time for fitters arrival, so I got the pan from Heat & Plumb, but the cistern was retained from Vic Plumbing. I've discovered x2 trains of thought: 1. Incorrect fitting: Cistern not high enough...

New rimless toilet weakest flush ever

I've just had a new bathroom installed. All great bar the toilet flush. It's very weak and doesn't even get rid of toilet paper - takes x3 flushes and for any No2 needs a bucket of water pouring down. Links to items below: Flush video Rimless comfort height Toilet concealed cistern Fitter came...
