    Alarm detectors in series

Great. Two magnetic door contacts. One to EE and one to Zone 1. The wiring diagram shows a 1K to 470R in series but I cannot see either of these. The control does not use EOL resistors so are these necessary for the door contacts? Thanks again.

    Alarm detectors in series

All wired OK but manual says 97 Enter for walk test and OMIT to exit but there is no OMIT on this panel (scantronic 9448+). Will 99 Enter work? Thanks.

    Alarm detectors in series

Great. Thanks. Just one other question. I presume this control panel will not be affected by the resistors in the PIR ie lower voltage with alarm off?

    Alarm detectors in series

Many thanks. Sorry to ask for a bit more information. For two P15 PIRs in series can I go; Control panel PIR1 alarm then PIR1 tamper to PIR2 alarm then PIR2 tamper to control panel? (And ignore resistor setting in PIR P15s)? That would be really helpful to know. John222

    Alarm detectors in series

I had 2 failed old Elkron motion alarm sensors (4 core) wired in series as in pictures. They are in adjacent rooms connected through a wall with short cable. They worked well and did the job. I have 2 Texecom Capture P15s to replace. The control panel is Scantronic 9448+. There are no added...

    Scantronic 9448+ Fuses blowing.

Can I just remove the aux supply fuse and disconnect the bell/strobes bell, 12V, 0V and TR. There are 3 detectors plus a separate door detector(EE). I think I will get the installer to come and fix next week. This alarm system has lasted 20+ years so very happy to replace like with like but...

    Scantronic 9448+ Fuses blowing.

Thanks for reply. Yes. I disconnected mains and battery. Replaced fuse. Left battery terminals disconnected. Turned on mains and alarm sounded for 2 seconds and F3 fuse blew. I'm puzzled as to why the F2 fuse was initially blown and the F3 intact. Outside bell box is Kinetic AZ 220+.

    Scantronic 9448+ Fuses blowing.

This alarm stopped working and the tamper loop light was red. Inside, the F2 aux fuse (1A fast) was blown so I replaced this and put in a new battery. Reconnected mains but F3 Vac fuse (1A slow) blew. Disconnected battery and replaced F3 fuse. Reconnected mains and internal sounder worked...
