    You could always try leaving a piece of plasterboard outside overnight.Rest it against the wall at a 45 degree angle and in the morning there will be a nice curve.I've done this alot and its always worked for me.

    If its plasterboard,cut out the damaged plasterboard to make a square.Then get a strip of batten or 2 depending on the size of the hole, cut it longer than the hole.Now screw the battening behind the the hole(2 screws either side of the hole should be fine).Now cut a new piece of plasterboard...

    Make sure all the loose bits of paint are scraped off.Pva 5-1,wait to dry,then pva 3-1,wait for it to go tacky.Then away you go.

    If you doing a bathroom/showeroom then it is best to use aqua panel.It will save you alot of time and effort in the long run.

    Seal the wall first with pva 5 parts water / 1 part pva.Leave to dry.Then pva a second coat with 3 parts pva and 1 part water.Let this go tacky then apply your 2 coats of skim.

    Skimming over textured paint is fine,as long as flake off dud paint as rigid said,then 2 coats of pva and away you go.

    Once you have painted the walls you will not see the lines.As long as the wall is nice and smooth,then it could be the way the wall has dried.

    Sounds like you have the dry lining tape mate.You want the mesh tape costs about £4-5 a roll.

    If its a large area,then i'd say yer g.But if its only small areas that need patching,then it wont take as long to go firm.Plus it depends on the thickness being applied.Many a time i've bonded in the morning and then skimmed in the afternoon.Never had a problem yet.

    If your plastering over plasterboard that is joined then you use plastering tape(the mesh variety).Place the tape over the joins,then i usually add a little plaster to bed it down,then throw on the skim.

    Bonding usually goes solid after a couple of hours mate.I'd say bond it in the morning and tile it in the afternoon.
