    The chimney was repointed before, as you can see from the lighter colour of the mortar, and it looked fine. I will try take some better photos of the roof tomorrow.

    Good way to flatten bent cooker hood frame?

    Thanks. I removed the panel and manually unbent it, then further straightened it using a bench vice. The result is very satisfying.

    Good way to flatten bent cooker hood frame?

    I’m unable to find the replacement part, so I’ll have to flatten this metal frame myself. Could you suggest a good way to do this? I’m worried that using a hammer might create more dents. A hydraulic press might be an option, but I don’t have one (but can consider buying one). Thanks!
