No this hasn't been done but it wasn't mentioned to me at the time. I hadn't a clue what I was doing or what it was all about so didn't want to do it myself.

And with my very limited understanding, this also looks like a pitched roof flashing kit and not the flat roof one that is required. Would that be part of the problem too?

Thanks for the reply. I do believe you are very likely correct. But I would much, much rather move on now and spend whatever money is required to have it all fixed properly. Probably going to need someone to take the flue right off, remove all sealant from the roof etc. and restart all over...
