Worcester 28si II shutting down on ch demand

It was the PCB , the engineer also replaced the Fan and the APS , as he said these can cause the pcb to go, so all 3 parts plus another 12 months breakdown cover (Parts and Labour) all for £279 , an excellent service from Worcester and would recommend them to anybody with a Worcester boiler.

Worcester 28si II shutting down on ch demand

I have carried out all tests in the service manual on test d , I cannot test the gas pressure , but assume this to be OK as hot water runs fine , resistance between pins 1&2 & 8&9 was around 75 ohms and i have continuity between 6&7. I sat and watched the boiler when i 1st turned on the CH ...

    Phone line extension Help

!st thing to do is get rid of the cable you have put in , that is alarm cable not telephone cable , this will cause interference on your broadband and drop speeds , once you have the correct cable check that you have a slave extension socket and not a master ( master have a capacitor on it), on...

    Phone Line Fault.

There is a very good chance you will get charged for this. BT have requested Openreach to visit when there was no fault on the physical line ( Openreach Network ) , so if the engineer books the job off as this then Openreach will charge BT Retail for this , who will pass the bill onto yourself.

can i cut bt cable before master socket ?

As already stated , you SHOULD not do this , but if you do makes sure you use external graded cable (Dropwire 10) DO NOT use internal 6 wire as this will break down in time and if you get a fault and have to report a fault then your Service provider will hit you will a bill for at least...

BT80a junction box- Any idea where I can buy one?

The bell wire you refer to is dropwire 6 , all you need to do to use this with the gel crimps is cut back the grey sleeve a little on each wire , just enough so the metal spade in the crimp makes contact with the copper. The BT80 you have used will cause you major problems if left outside as...

Moving extensions to other phone line

DO NOT DO THIS , especially if you have broadband , the extra capacitor in the 2nd nte will cause your broadband to drop out and slow your speeds down

    Bt phone problem.

Have you tried dialing out , if so what happens?? intermitant dial tone means you either have a message (1571) calls on divert or another service (#21#) to remove. If its none of the above , unplug everything thats plugged into your sockets and just try with a phone in the test point in the...

    strange phone problem

see original post "But my house phone would still not ring and was showing engaged. " You would not get this with HR ... only a loop / partial loop or retified loop.. so the fault is definatley a loop fault , that is why his line was PET (perm engaged tone)

    strange phone problem

The fault is in the cable going upstairs , this is NOT a battery fault it will be a partial loop fault , ( A battery fault is when the line(you phone) is in contact with another line(sombody elses phone line)). It sounds to me that the cable is under your new carpet and has been trapped on a...
