The trouble I am having now is a leak where that brass connector goes into fitting 2 or even fitting 3. It doesn't screw in very tight and the water flows out readily. Even with thread tape it's dripping out !

Cheers, that will work if there's such a thing as a flexible connector to go from fitting 1 to fitting 2. The mixer is a concealed one so I would not be able to tighten fittings behind plasterboard and tiles.

I just did the test to get a netter idea of the difference. I used the bath taps. The hot taps produced 8.5l in a minute whereas the cold had passed the 12l mark in half a minute. I think I will remove the hot limiter and leave the cold one in. Just for info, the flow limiters have been fitted...

Do you mean I may not have to remove them ? I have taken off the swivel elbows to have a look and theres some weird plastic inside, the hot is a different colour and has a different number on it than the cold. Looks like I need some special tool to remove them too.

Thanks for that. The shower did manage to outlast our first combi boiler, we now have a WB Greenstar HE Plus. I think we will go for the mixer shower.

Our triton power shower has given up the ghost after 10 years of being rubbish. It never had any power. We have a combi boiler and were going to get a mixer shower. I was just wondering if an electric one would be more eco friendly and more eco-nomical than using lovely old gas.
