Ceiling speaker amplifier to mono circuit.

Indeed it does... but it does it at LINE levels, not SPEAKER levels; i.e. on the INPUT to an amplifier not on the OUTPUTS. There would be no (or very little) audio from a speaker if that circuit was inserted between the speaker outputs of an amplifier and a speaker.

Ceiling speaker amplifier to mono circuit.

Those search results still refer to summing the physical analogue inputs of an amplifier. On a bluetooth-linked amp, that summing needs to be done before the bluetooth link, and if the bluetooth transmitter is inbuilt to whichever device is being used to play from, then it has to be done in...

Ceiling speaker amplifier to mono circuit.

Depending upon what device you are using to send to the bluetooth amp, you may be able to set the device to Mono. For example, on an iPhone, go to Settings; General; Accessibilty; Hearing; Then turn on Mono Audio. You can then connect a single speaker to either output of the bluetooth amp.

Is 12:30 in the day am or pm?

I think the point Eric is making is that am and pm relate to when the sun is directly overhead... (am is before and pm is after) and that originally, before daylight saving, 12 midday was defined as when the sun is directly overhead. With daylight saving, then in the summer the sun is directly...

    Best vintage turntable

Lucid, that Hansard link shows hourly rates, so your example is out by a factor of about 40... making the average weekly wage in the mid 60s around £16 per week, so a Dansette would be the equivalent of less than a week’s wages back then.

two lamps on two breakers, one fitting

Thanks for that EFLI... but perhaps I should have mentioned there isn’t a Neutral at the hall switch, apologies! However.... the hall switch controls not only the outside light, but also the inside porch light which is on the wall. The outside light is wired in parallel with it, and I could...

two lamps on two breakers, one fitting

Exactly that. I have two switched feeds, one from the hall switch and the other from the PIR. There is no permanent live at either light. Although there is a permanent live at the timer in the garage that I can easily extend to the new fitting, that doesn’t help as the hall switch would still...

two lamps on two breakers, one fitting

Excellent, thanks. It’s only one fitting (the new one) I’m talking about rewiring; the light that’s fed from the existing timer/photocell is remaining, and it’s the feed to that one I’m talking about extending to the new fitting. I wish to switch the two lamps in the new fitting separately...

two lamps on two breakers, one fitting

Hi all. I have just bought an outside light fitting that has two lamps in it, one pointing up and one down. At the moment the lamps are wired in parallel, and my intention is to use the downlight to illuminate the house number, while the uplight will reflect off the porch soffit. I have a...

    Two 2way light circuits.

I'm not a spark, and I stumbled here as I have a similar situation, but... would it be possible to wire it with just two 2C&E between the two switch positions? I'm thinking as switch position "A" already has a line and a switched line (for lamp "A"), and switch position "B" has a line and...

meter error, would a replacement be smart?

Sorry, I wasn't clear.... The new meter that was installed, and the old one removed, had a separate switched line output as well as the permanent output, so had the option of being wired as appropriate. I never said it was in my interest to have that... I have it wired exactly as before with no...

meter error, would a replacement be smart?

E7 meters that have the switched line output for feeding night storage heaters. Do current smart meters have that facility? Apparently they are due later this year.

meter error, would a replacement be smart?

The engineer finally came today (having been to the wrong house two weeks ago). He swapped the meter, and said that they don't reset clocks on site; the meter is rented by the supply company and as the rental cost includes repair, the meter goes back to be refurbished if they are faulty. He also...

meter error, would a replacement be smart?

We changed supplier about 6 months ago, so are on a reasonable tariff. An engineer is now booked to come and have a look in a couple of weeks. If the clock stops in the middle of the night and we are on permanent low-rate, I might cancel him :D Incidentally, our supplier said they haven't...

meter error, would a replacement be smart?

I can't remember the exact figures, but when I did the calculation a few months ago we are about £25 per year better off with E7. Wouldn't be worth changing to E7, but not worth changing to a standard tariff either. Just phoned my supplier, they think they can send an engineer out to reset it...

meter error, would a replacement be smart?

That would be perfect John, although I don't think it can. Here is a picture of the meter... is it one that can be reset?

meter error, would a replacement be smart?

Hello all, I am on an Economy 7 tariff and have an economy 7 meter that is currently displaying the wrong time by about 35 minutes. It's not a huge deal as we don't have electric heating, nevertheless I would like it to be correct. If I contact the DNO, or whoever, to get it swapped, will they...

    Bathroom notifiability

Is work done in a bathroom, but outside the zones, notifiable? I'm thinking of installing some under-cabinet ELV 12V led lighting in mine. The power supply will sit in the loft and just the 12V cable will drop into the bathroom. The cabinets are 1.2 metre horizontally from the bath. Thanks for...
