    Wiring Spotlights

There isn't anywhere to connect the earth on the new spots? Shall I leave it disconnected or does it need connecting and if so where?

    Wiring Spotlights

It appears I was wrong there is only 1 wire attached to the fitting. I've drawn a quick diagram of the current setup and what I think I need to do for the spots. Is the spots diagram correct? Where should I terminate the earth wire? [/img]

    Wiring Spotlights

Hello, I've just brought some spotlights and would like to replace the standard bayonet fitting in our hall way with a series of spots. I wasn't sure exactly how to wire the spots as the instructions that came with them only show how to wire one rather than all. What would be the best...

    Master Socket Issues

I did have a look on ADSL nation to be honest - at their XTE 2005 filtered socket and i'm seriously considering purchasing one but due to legal reasons I'm not 100% sure about replacing the whole NTE5 as its BT's property and if I mess things up then I will have to pay to get it fixed and from...

    Master Socket Issues

Thanks for the quick reply, the socket is an NTE5b (without the socket on the front) and you are correct its knockin on a bit. I think the connections are a little stretched to be honest because instead of punching them in nice and tightly, the first one goes in ok but the second is loose...

    Wiring a light.

Hello, I need to fit a light in a bathroom that is part of a loop. The light itself doesn't offer a suitable method of connection to cater for the loop and therefore has me stumped. I have taken a photo of the current wiring (a) and a photo of the new light (b). [a] [b] I wondered...

Attach a free standing bath to the floor?

Unfortunatly no. The feet are hollow and I could perhaps drill them to accomodate a bolt or a screw but it would very difficult to tighten them once fitted.

Attach a free standing bath to the floor?

Just to clarify a few things, The wall is not yet tiled as I wanted to get a first fix on the bath completed before hand. I'm tiling the remainder of the walls tomorrow and the floor will go down next week. The flooring is an aqualok laminate. At the moment with the waste and the water...

Attach a free standing bath to the floor?

Okay So I should glue the bath down and for good measure attach a battern to the wall and screw it to the bath? Its too late to change to a standard bath now but there's always a next time :) Thanks for the advice I just hope it works.

Attach a free standing bath to the floor?

Hello, As seems to be the case with most things from the bath store our free standing bath came with very limited instructions. The bath comes with 4 resin cast feet that bolt into retained threads in the mould of the bath. These attach without incident, however, in the instructions it...

    Chrome Pipe Shrouds (covers)

Hello, Just wondered where the best place to buy pipe shrouds for a free-standing bath are? I saw a kit on b&q's website but it was £149. The bath pipes are located close to one wall and the only time you can really see them is when you enter the room so £149 seems to be a hell of a lot to...

    Problem with taps

Oops sorry yes its 15mm pipe. (just got my calipers out :D) Thanks for the help I shall go and get a couple of reducers as you suggest. Incidentally, I take it that it is not best practice for the main water spur to be on 15mm and should be on 22mm with 15 spurs leading to sinks toilets...
