Hi, I have a potterton combi 100 boiler. I have checked the pressure and it was set at 1.5 when cold (boiler not running) but this shot up to about 3.5 (into the red on dial) after about 1/2 hour of running central heating. There is an intermittent whistling noise coming from the boiler...

Replaced the PCB as some of the connections ( top left, think its the power supply ones) scorched and burnt out the connections on the back of the PCB. this was repaired a couple of times with solder but eventualy they gave up and the boiler had no power. seems to be working fine now apart...

Hi, i read on another posting that after you have fitted a new PCB the you should adjust the range rate. Can someone tell me how to do this and what it does. Also i explosive ignition which now seems worse since new PCB board was swapped over. Will altering the range rate help with this...

Hi, Seem to have the CH working now but only when it is switched over to timer - not on constant. I followed the wires from the CH switch to "PL2" on the main circuit board, then i disconnected and then re-connected the connection - after that hey presto i had CH back even if it only worked...

Hi, thanks for the replys. I have looked through lots of posts that are similar to my problem but couldnt make anything from them. If you think it sounds like it could be a problem with the main circuit board i could get a metre and check the voltage between the two points if some one could...

Hi all, When i run the HW tap there is a red light that comes on inside and the boiler fires up and i have hot water so i presume all pumps etc are working fine. However... When i push the swith to turn on the CH, whether on constant or timer i get absolutly nothing...no red light...
