Does anyone know where i can get hard rubber blocks?

Don't trust any jack enough to go crawling under your car, especially a hydraulic one. Always use a pair of axle stands or ramps. Get a piece of close grained hardwood to use as a jacking pad.

CE marks on Makita cordless tools.

Hi, I bought a couple of Makita lxt tools recently from different suppliers. I was idly looking at them just now and noticed that while the drill has a CE mark on the spec. plate, the stapler doesn't and instead has a tiny sticker with the CE mark. I wonder if this means that the stapler is a...

    Laying flooring ply.

No, not tiling, it will be vinyl. By intermediate noggins do you mean from joist to joist (maybe 2 noggins at each board join) or from joist to joist then another bit of timber parallel to joists?.

    Laying flooring ply.

Hi, I'm ready to lay 22mm flooring ply in a kitchen and bathroom, should the ply be glued and screwed to the joists and at the butting edges?. It isn't t&g like the chipboard layed upstairs.

Hi, Is there a "normal" way to butt up two new 4x2 stud partitions in a Tee shape or should i just bang in extra studs and dwangs as seems necessary to support plasterboard at the join?.

    Filling gaps in Kingspan.

Hi, There are some gaps between Kingspan and timber wall studs where my sawing wasn't too straight. Is ordinary silicone or Gripfill OK to use to fill these gaps?. Is there anything I shouldn't use?
