    MAJOR help required

Could be by-pass problem...no? You say the problems started when a rad was turned on, this tells me water has took the easiest circuit once this rad was opened, therefore taking the flow from the other rads.....check the pipework & the by-pass,could be it needs a cple turns in.

    Suprima boiler keep relighting

Chances are its the PCB again, could be the thermistor also. If theres no lockout & you can rule out pump, actuators, stats then its pointing towards PCB again, quite a problem on these models. Ive just installed a new one on my 40l & its the second one in 3yrs,bad design methinks.

    Phase Rotation??

Eric, i agree with everything you said. Thing is there will be a shed load of gas engineers in my situation as these smart meters are kicking of big time, the utility company's need dual fuel engineers so the cheapest way for these companys to do it is to put gas engineers thru the leccy course...

    Phase Rotation??

Christ, I give up. Number 1. I have a Job,i'm merely gaining a qualification to work on the leccy side. 2. We pull the fuse at the service before we start any work, obviously checking polarity first. There is NO working live! 3. I will not be going out myself but shadowing a sparky for a month...

    Phase Rotation??

Youve got this wrong, I do understand the workings......its the simplifying it down on paper so I can explain it, there is nothing wrong with trying to figure this out so im better prepared surely?? The phase rotation was lectured during the course but theres not much of it in the course books...

    Moving a gas meter?

Yes, new meter....new guvnor, new pipework as long as its 1-2 meters from original position.
  17. G

    Moving a gas meter?

No, move the meter/pipework within 1-2 meter....usually involves cutting outlet pipework 1-2met,extending/replace with new pipework fittings etc, replacing (with extended flex) guvnor & meter,re-test etc

    Moving a gas meter?

Why pay a RGI when the supplier does it free? Unless they have a friend who does "Mates Rates"
  19. G

    Moving a gas meter?

I'm a RGI who is also qualified to move gas meters & do this on a regular basis, these jobs are done free (by supplier) as long as they are within 1-2 meters....the problems arise when the customer wants the service pipe moved to outside or wants an external meterbox fitted, these jobs are priced...

    Moving a gas meter?

Phone your supplier & request a meter move/reposition, they will send an engineer out who will reposition it within 1-2 meters (only) of original position, they will not move the service pipe though...they will replace the guvnor & meter while they undertake this work aswell.
