Kitchen cooker hood: recirculating or with long extraction duct?

100% do the run. I just did a 4.5m run with the rigid aluminium ducting and it works great.

Gap closing window to French door.

Hi, I need to close a gap from a knock out of a window to a French door. I can see the DPM as blue in the picture which will feed up the wall. Do I just need to overlap some more DPM to take it up to the level of the French doors and then fill? Is it a 4-1 mix with agg I should use please...

Indeed. But we all make mistakes - what counts is what you do after. And he’s proved he’s a sh!t.

    Rad not working

Worked it out. Plumber had cut what he thought was just the feed to a radiator in the kitchen in the ceiling to repurpose for another radiator. But it was the feed to both the kitchen and the bedroom. I found that out when I connected the bedroom back up and the kitchen flooded through the old...

    Rad not working

Hi, had some work done on the house so have drained the central heating a few times and had some pipe work done. all back together and all works fine apart from one radiator. I’ve taken it off and flushed it. I’ve changed the valves to new ones. But no water is coming through the valves...

    Help with hive

I really do hope I’m being a complete idiot but I can’t see it. I’ve drawn a diagram. I can’t just join the cables at the thermostat in the living room (which is how it was before I think) as the return to the valve in the loft is gone. how can a then connect 4 in the hive to the valve in...

    Help with hive

I get what you are saying but valve brown wire goes first to the connection hub in the loft next to it then that is connected to the old cable which went down the the thermostat (which has now been cut out). does that make sense? So I can’t get a feed from the CH on up to the valve unless...

    Help with hive

So looks like the cable 4 from the hive controller goes straight to the thermostat and then another cable to the control box in/near the loft. This second cable is the one that was ripped out. I think i need to run another cable from the hive controller next to the boiler up to the loft...

    Help with hive

Didn’t work. Can I hijack one of the cables at the back of the hive boiler controller to get the CH on signal up into the loft? or do I connect all three wires together that were in the thermostat?

    Help with hive

Think I might be onto something here. old thermostat wiring, cable on left becomes live when calling for heat. Maybe if i join that back to the left cable? Think that is what he cut as well.

    Help with hive

This is the wiring next to the pump and valves but there was wiring to the old thermostat which was removed which I think is the problem - or is there something I can do here?
