    Thermostat wiring

Scaby, yes I agree, namsag's order of wiring is spot on! :D Thanks namsag, I shall change the wiring tonight. It just goes to show that you can't neccesarily rely on a diagram to be correct, as I have found out many times before! :) Thanks again for all your help guys, it really is...

    Thermostat wiring

Scaby, I have to agree with namsag actually, in that boiler terminal 1 should go to the clock and the output of the clock should go to the stat, as it does show it this way round in the Baxi 105e service/installation manual. It makes sense this way thinking about it, as it means that the neon...

    Thermostat wiring

Hi Folks! I've solved the problem with the neon being on all the time. I had boiler terminal 1 connected to terminal 3 on the stat, and terminal 1 was then connected to the clock. Therefore, it meant that there was 240V mains to the neon at all times, regardless of whether the switch contacts...

    Thermostat wiring

Scaby, I know that you have already suggested a method, but I was just curious as to whether or not it 'actually' matters which way round the stat/timer/boiler are connected provided that the loop is complete between terminals 1 and 2 of boiler. Anyway any thoughts on this? Also, does...

    Thermostat wiring

Hi again, Just a quick question. Provided that the loop is completed, does it matter what order the timer and stat are connected, i.e. boiler to stat and then to timer and back to boiler, as opposed to boiler to timer and then to stat and back to boiler again? Just wondering whether...

    Thermostat wiring

Hi Scaby, Ok, thanks, I will try that when I get home from work tonight. Will post on here to let you know if it solved the problem. :)

    Thermostat wiring

Hi clf-gas, That's exactly what I was thinking, and would make sense based on the application note that I've been reading. Here is the link to the actual instructions can come with that stat...

    Thermostat wiring

Anyone else any ideas about the neon problem? Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated. :) Thanks.

    Thermostat wiring

Thanks namsag. I've just looked on Plumbworld site and the photo of the T6360B on there doesn't have a neon indicator. On honeywell spec sheet it just says that an indicator lamp is available on some versions to indicate a 'call for heat' from the system. I'm sure this can be used on mine...

    Thermostat wiring

Any particular site that you could direct me to? As I say, other than the neon being on all the time, the thermostat seems to be working fine and switches the heating on and off with changes in room temperature. Thanks, Electronman.

    Thermostat wiring

Hi namsag, I have a T6360B. According to the honeywell site there are three different versions, a T6360A, T6360B and T6360C. All have a neon according to the diagram, and the only difference seems to be that the 'A' and 'C' versions don't have an anticipator. It certainly says T6360B on the...

    Thermostat wiring

Hi again, I've just noticed on an application sheet on Honeywell's site that a connection is made (dotted line) between pin 2 and 6 and pin 3 and 5, pins 5 and 6 being the lamp terminals. This wasn't shown on the sheet that came with the stat and I don't currently have anything connected...

    Thermostat wiring

Hi namsag, That is the way that I've wired it. I have connected the Neutral to allow the anticipator to work for more accurate temp control. Still not sure why the neon on the stat is on all the time though. Anyone else any ideas?? Thanks, Electronman.

    Thermostat wiring

Hi there, I have just purchased a Honeywell T6360 Room thermostat, as my CH system doesn't currently have one. I have TRV's on all rads but was advised that system would run more efficiently with a room stat. Anyway, I have a Honeywell ST6100C external 7 day timer connected to a Baxi 105e...

    Watchdog program on Potterton PCB's

Ok, I was just wondering as I know some companies tend to 'buckle' a bit when confronted with program's such as watchdog! :)

    Watchdog program on Potterton PCB's

Hi There, Did anyone see this program? I missed it but am curious to know what model boiler has the pcb problem, and what, if anything, Potterton were going to do about it. Thanks, Electronman.

Baxi 105e - DHW but no CH

Hi Folks! I took the plunge and purchased and fitted a new PCB and all now works fine! Many thanks for all your help. Electronman.

Baxi 105e - DHW but no CH

I've also noticed that by turning selector switch to reset position and holding there for a few seconds, the boiler doesn't reset itself. Does the reset only usually operate if one of the neons has been flashing, or should it be possible to reset at any time?

Baxi 105e - DHW but no CH

Thanks eversohappy, will make a note of the number. Baxpoti, I have jumpered the pins on the PCB that the internal timer used to be connected to, and have also linked terminals 1 and 2 on the terminal block, and still no demand for CH. Incidentally, I popped home at lunchtime and...
